The tune begins with an organ playing the main theme. It is backed by electronic drums, hi-hat, a live bass, piano, electric piano, and stereo electronic percussion. The basic groove is in 6/8 time and the first section is eight bars long. In the second section at bar nine, the moog synthesizer enters, playing a static, staccato line, as the organ presents a new melodic theme that sets the listener up for the chorus. The chorus begins after the four bar B section, and the moog joins the organ as the two play the melody of the chorus in unison. The electronic percussion changes its sounds in the chorus and the hi-hat is replaced by the ride cymbal. The cycle is repeated three more times and then the piece ends on a final sustained note.
This somewhat sparse arrangement has an appeal that stretches across numerous tastes and genres. Because it employs some older types of keyboard textures combined with more modern techno sounds, it creates a unique type of ambient flavor that is all its own. However, the production and aesthetic appeal remain undeniably rich and elegantly lavish.
