On the Importance of Intellectual Discourse

The importance of the continual practice of intellectual discourse cannot be stressed enough. Constant discussion amongst intellectuals allows for a more thorough development of advanced techniques that may used when highly creative intellects are engaged in discussion. By observing the use of these various techniques, many elements of these devices can be refined to a far greater degree by humanity's collective intellect. When these techniques are not continually employed in active intellectual discourse, they can easily deteriorate if more primitive discursive techniques that promote intellectual entropy are used instead.

However, it is not only the techniques used in such discourse that are important, it is the actual employment of these techniques that must continually be allowed to occur so that the minds of the populace do not fall into mental laziness. Minds must be used constantly; they must be continually kept in practice. By constantly engaging in various kinds of intellectual discourse, stimulation that allows for new mental growth is able to occur. This stimulation is generally found by reading the works of the great masters and then engaging in active interplay with other intellects.

Finally, the discovery of new ideas is brought about by this active sharing of individuals engaged in logical discussions. It is this type of discovery that is the most important of all. Of course, these treasures can be found by diligent study and meditation; however, these nuggets of pure gold can also be found when multiple minds focus together and engage in active interplay. All that matters is that new ideas are found.
