This bright and positive modern jazz composition features three different sections in its overall form. The first of these sections features a melodic line that is performed on a Live Takamine acoustic guitar and a Fender Rhodes keybaord in unison. The background chords in this section (played on piano and two additional Takamine acoustic guitars panned in extreme stereo) are separated and rhythmic in nature. The second section features sustained tones in the background chords and bass line, while the lead line shifts to another type of melodic theme but still relies heavily on more separated staccato notes. In the third and final section, the lead line also begins to rely on sustained tones like the background chords in this section. Next, the Fender Rhodes takes a solo over the three sections, and the melody presented at the beginning of this piece is played once more before the composition fades.
The essence of this work is that of positive motivation. The diurnal currents of Apollonian gold are very strong in this number. In order for the peaceful nature of gold to be known, the positive currents of the sun that are expressed in the beauty of the daytime should be carefully balanced with the sublime nocturnal energies of the moon. In this way, the golden mean of Apollo can truly be used for peace.
