Lead - Root Chakra - SaturnThe Spherical Nature of the Energy CentersThe next basic concept that must be understood when connecting the biological with the astronomical is the spherical nature of the chakras and the heavenly bodies. There is a rampant misunderstanding throughout many mainstream teachings that these energy centers or “chakras” are disc-shaped or shaped like wheels because the word chakra has the basic meaning of “circle” (the etymology is readily apparent between the two words). This is a very common mistake made by many who fail to realize that the word circular in its most complete form means “spherical” and that the realities of these circular energy centers are not merely two-dimensional wheel-like representations but are actually three-dimensional energy manifestations that encompass very specific areas of the human anatomy. The heavenly bodies are not flat and neither are the chakras of the human body. When these centers of energy manifest themselves on a heavenly level, their spherical nature is readily observable. Thus, it becomes readily apparent that there is a direct corolary that can be drawn between the spherical heavenly bodies of the solar system and the spherical chakras of the human body. So by observation of the heavenly bodies, it becomes possible to identify both the nature and mannerisms of these energy centers so that the chakras may be more correctly understood by science and subsequently balanced to perfection. These corelations serve as guides that allow for a more complete understanding about how each of these spherical energy centers work within the realms of the heavenly (astronomical–as above) and the terrestrial (biological–so below). The Alchemical SeptenaryTherefore, in order to further understand and observe this basic process of creative design, it is now necessary to describe the alchemical septenary of metals. The seven elements of this septenary will now be described so that further elucidation may be presented. Gold is the best known of all the alchemical metals. Its biological energy sphere is centered around the epiphysis cerebri (pineal body), and its astronomical center is the sun. The highest concentration of the trace element gold in the human body is found in the hair that grows from the skull, where the epiphysis cerebri is centered. The next highest metal is mercury and its astronomical center is the planet with which the metal shares its name. Mercury’s biological energy sphere is centered around the hypophysis (pituitary gland) and the chiasma opticum (optic chiasma). The highest concentrations of this trace element are found in the brain tissue and oral mucus located around these two adjacent structures that are located just above the roof of the mouth between the eyes. This energy center is also referred to as the "third eye" and is represented in certain cultures by a dot on the forehead between the eyes. The name given to this energy center is quite appropriate, since the chiasma opticum is the exact point where the optic nerves from both eyes merge together. Iron follows silver, and its energy sphere (the “navel chakra”) is biologically centered around the celiac plexus, located on the spine near the liver and kidneys, which contain some of the highest concentrations of the trace element iron, an essential mineral that is vital for human nutrition. The planet Mars is alchemically linked to iron. In its vulgar sense, alchemy is the deceitful practice of altering different metals to look like gold and silver. In its true sense, it is the transfer of true Kundalini energy from the root chakra into the epiphysis cerebri where it becomes golden. This usage of the adjective golden is meant literally because the metals of the alchemical septenary are actual trace elements found within the human body. The currents emanating from this highest spherical energy center (referred to as the crown chakra) centered in the pineal body are amplified by the vast amounts of the trace element gold that naturally accumulate in the human hair. This is why long hair has long been revered as a source of power in cultures all over the world from the Native American tribes to the Vikings to the Brahmans to the Hebrew Nazarites (which includes the legendary figure of Samson) to the Pythagorean cults to the Gnostics to the Essenes to the Rastafarians to the Merovingian Dynasty. * * * * 1.
